Luckily for us, foods that nourish your body also tend to taste delicious together.

Eating specific foods combinations maximizes their health effects by increasing your body’s ability to absorb nutrients.

Tomatoes are rich in lycopene, an antioxidant known as carotenoid, which gives tomatoes its colour.

Adding a healthy fat such as avocado makes the carotenoid much more absorbable (nuts and olive oil are good too). Lycopene is creating a lot of interest in the scientific community for its cancer-protective effects, as well as its beneficial effects on our heart and our eyes.
